Neon Raptor v Dark Element - Novum

When a new brewery as exciting Dark Element Brewery from Caerphilly comes along, you jump at the chance to work with them. Although they only launched in 2024 they’re already making waves and bring all their years of commercial brewing experience with them. We combined our collective enthusiasm and passion for big juicy hoppy beers to brew this dazzling double IPA. We also added our friends at Loughran Brewers Select  into the mix for some excellent hops and the brand new Pomona yeast for an abundance of tropical stone fruit aromas and flavours.

Novum is a fun beer name combining the fact that the founders of neon gas in 1898 named it after the Greek analogue of the Latin novum (meaning new) and the fact that we’re obviously a neon brewery and Dark Element are element adjacent. Neon is traditionally a bright element, but often found in dark places.
