Fine Wine from Our Bottle Shop and Taproom:
Buis d’Aps is a locality of the municipality of Alba La Romaine. The Pinot Noir is grown here on south facing hillsides with very good sun exposure in shallow clay-limestone soils akin to the terroir of Burgundy.
This wine is the result of a rigorous work: limited yields (50hl/ha), thinning at the beginning of the summer and exclusively manual harvesting. After a long maceration lasting 2 to 3 weeks, part of the harvest is aged in oak barrels.
Aromas of ripe fruit, especially cherry, and hints of spices and rounded and ample palate. An elegant wine of great character with silky tannins and slight oaky notes.
Air one hour before drinking to allow the aromas to express themselves.
This Pinot goes with deli meats and cold buffets and will drink with many red and white meat dishes and cheese.
