A citrusy variation of Mancester's Signature Gin; this special edition has been created in partnership with Peter Hook and The Haçienda.
Master distillers – Seb Heeley and Jen Wiggins – worked with Peter Hook to create a Manchester Gin with Haçienda spirit. It has a refreshing zestiness that comes through from lemon and lime peel; a nod to the vibrant acid house scene. As with the whole Manchester Gin range, it incorporates locally hand-foraged dandelion and burdock root, for a smooth and balanced depth of flavour.
The Manchester Gin label has been reimagined in the classic Haçienda colours. The clear front label reveals a limited edition inner label which is distorted through the liquid – reminiscent of the Haçienda’s raves and debaucherous all-nighters.
For the first batches of Manchester Gin – FAC51 Haçienda, they are releasing two limited edition labels. Both are striking, recognisable icons of the Haçienda nightclub and have been assigned their own HAÇ numbers – much as Haçienda was designated a FAC number: FAC51. These will be used in place of traditional gin batch numbers. Any later label designs will have new FAC numbers.
HAÇ13 uses the hallmark yellow and black stripes as the backdrop for the Manchester Gin label. HAÇ15 uses the famous Haçienda poster image that reads “Use Hearing Protection”.
