Seven Crofts Gin was launched in 2019 by The Highland Liquor Co, based in Ullapool on the shores of Loch Broom in the Scottish Highlands. Now home to 1,500 people, the village of Ullapool was established in the late 1700s as a fishing village and originally consisted of seven dwellings, and the Seven Crofts name pays homage to this. Founders Robert Hicks and Helen Chalmers began planning The Highland Liquor Co in 2014 and tested 96 combinations to reach the final recipe for Seven Crofts Gin, which is distilled in 100L stills by Head Distiller Ben Thompson who joined the team in 2018.
Seven Crofts Gin is classically dry, robust and flavoursome. Juniper is prominently at the heart from the nose to the finish, layered with a balance of earthiness, peppery spice and citrus. Underlying notes of cardamom add further depth. When mixed, Seven Crofts Gin's flavour, character and balance holds impressively with plentiful piney juniper. It is a classic, classy and hearty gin with presentation to match and all the qualities to win over mixologists and consumers alike.
